Nottingham Community Involvement


It was our great pleasure to welcome the WEA’s Chief Executive Ruth Spellman to the final Intermediate Computing class at Vernon Community College recently.

Ruth’s visit was one of many ‘walk through’s” that are undertaken by WEA staff as part of our continuing commitment to quality learning. I am pleased to say that Ruth found her experience pleasing.

On 30 June I paid a “walk through” visit to the East Midlands region.  I attended an Intermediate Computing Class at the Vernon Community Centre in Nottingham.  It was my great pleasure to present the students with their certificates of achievement and I would like to thank the Education staff who arranged the visit for me, along with the fabulous tutor Peter Goodwin and the students who made me so welcome.
