We’re eagerly awaiting the first egg of 2016 to be laid by the Peregrines who nest at Derby Cathedral.

For the past 2 years the first Derby egg has been laid on 29th March; so excitement is mounting as this coming Tuesday draws near.

You can watch the Peregrines throughout this year’s breeding season on webcams here

The Derby Peregrines are a bit behind the ones nesting at Nottingham Trent university (4 eggs laid), Sheffield (currently 3 eggs laid) and Exeter (currently 1 egg) but better late than never!
