Friday mornings in Nottingham

We’ve 3 spring courses in Nottingham City centre on Friday mornings:


  • Much ado about Shakespeare, at Nottingham Mechanics, tutor Hazel Salisbury with occasional appearances by Gordon Parsons. The course will concentrate on The Tempest with some Romeo and Juliet. The course is for anyone interested in Shakespeare.

  • The Lives of the poems: the lives, loves and other influences on well-known poets. At Nottingham Mechanics with tutor Mike Wilson. Poets studied to include: Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath, Laura Riding and Robert Graves, Emily Dickinson and contemporary poets Carol Ann Duffy and Jackie Kay.



  • Philosophy workshops: Rights and responsibilities At Nottingham Mechanics with Bettina Lange. Join Bettina in 3  consecutive Friday morning workshops.  These workshops are philosophy based but assume no prior knowledge of philosophy. Everyone welcome.
